چکیده

We give a partonic interpretation for the deeply virtual Compton scattering (DVCS) measurements of the H1 and ZEUS collaborations in the small-xB region in terms of generalized parton distributions. Thereby we have a closer look at the skewness effect, parameterization of the t-dependence, revealing the chromomagnetic pomeron, and at a model dependent access to the anomalous gravitomagnetic moment of nucleon. We also quantify the reparameterization of generalized parton distributions resulting from the inclusion of radiative corrections up to next-to-next-to-leading order. Beyond the leading order approximation, our findings are compatible with a ‘holographic’ principle that would arise from a (broken) SO(2,1) symmetry. Utilizing our leading-order findings, we also perform a first model dependent dispersion relation fit of HERMES and JLAB DVCS measurements. From that we extract the generalized parton distribution H on its cross-over line and predict the beam charge-spin asymmetry, measurable at COMPASS.

Timelike Compton Scattering in Ultraperipheral Collisions

Exclusive photoproduction of dileptons, γN → ll N , is and will be measured in ultraperipheral collisions at hadron colliders. We demonstrate that the timelike deeply virtual Compton scattering (TCS) mechanism γq → llq, where the lepton pair comes from the subprocess γq → γ∗q, dominates in some accessible kinematical regions, thus opening a new way to study generalized parton distributions (GPD...

Deeply Virtual Compton Scattering at Hera Ii (h1 Results)

New results on the Deeply Virtual Compton Scattering process γ * p → γp (DVCS) from H1 experiment at the ep collider HERA are presented, using data collected during the year 2004 and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 39.7 pb −1. The DVCS cross section is measured as a function of the photon virtuality, Q 2 , the γ * p c.m.s. energy W and differentially in the momentum transfer square...

The Gpd Experimental Program at Jefferson Lab

Recent results on the Generalized Parton Distribution (GPD) program at Jefferson Lab (JLab) will be presented. The emphasis will be in the Hall A program aiming at measuring Q−dependences of different terms of the Deeply Virtual Compton Scattering (DVCS) cross section. This is a fundamental step before one can extract GPD information from JLab DVCS data. The upcoming program in Hall A, using bo...

Light-Cone Wavefunction Representation of Deeply Virtual Compton Scattering

We give a complete representation of virtual Compton scattering γp → γp at large initial photon virtuality Q and small momentum transfer squared t in terms of the light-cone wavefunctions of the target proton. We verify the identities between the skewed parton distributions H(x, ζ, t) and E(x, ζ, t) which appear in deeply virtual Compton scattering and the corresponding integrands of the Dirac ...

Deeply virtual compton scattering off the neutron.

The present experiment exploits the interference between the deeply virtual Compton scattering (DVCS) and the Bethe-Heitler processes to extract the imaginary part of DVCS amplitudes on the neutron and on the deuteron from the helicity-dependent D(e,e'gamma)X cross section measured at Q2=1.9 GeV2 and xB=0.36. We extract a linear combination of generalized parton distributions (GPDs) particularl...
